Christina Reaves

Director of Research Administration

Christina Reaves joined HIF in 2021 with over 15 years of experience in health services and community-engaged research. As the Director of Research at Borrego Health, one of the largest systems of federally funded community health centers in the country, she built an infrastructure to oversee and facilitate patient-centered research driven and inspired by clinical and patient-community needs. As the Deputy Director of the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine’s Center for Healthy Communities and Administrative Director of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ Translational Research Institute, Christina oversaw the day-to-day operations and allocation of resources to support multi-disciplinary research. Her high-level administrative experience includes the supervision of and participation in all stages of research, as well as financial and regulatory management.

In addition to research administration and oversight, Christina has served as Co-Investigator on multiple Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute funded grants. Christina’s expertise in deliberative and community-based participatory research methods are rooted in work with marginalized communities to improve mental health and access to healthcare services.
