Dr. Reynita Sagon-Alcisto is a pediatric audiologist with over 20 years of experience specializing in pediatric diagnostics, hearing device fittings, and cochlear implants. She serves as the Clinical Director at the House Children’s Hearing Center (HCHC) in Los Angeles, California.

While pursuing her Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) at Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Alcisto developed a word recognition tool in her native language, Ilokano, to improve hearing assessments for Ilokano speakers. Her research was published in the Philippine Journal of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, where she currently serves as an editor.

She completed clinical training at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii. Her background includes work at the House Ear Institute – CARE Center, experience as a Clinical Specialist for Cochlear Americas, and a role as Senior Audiologist at the House Children’s Hearing Center of UCLA.

Dr. Alcisto’s career focuses on expanding access to pediatric hearing care, particularly for low-income and underserved communities. At HCHC, she advocates for early identification and timely intervention following national infant hearing guidelines to support speech and language development. She leads clinical operations, community outreach, and initiatives like the Hearing Aid Access Project – Youth to provide hearing technology to children in need. Dr. Alcisto also serves as a clinical preceptor for audiology residents and is a lecturer at the California State University – Northridge.
